In the summer of 2009, I coordinated with Professor Salganik from Princeton to work on the AllOurIdeas project. Thanks to a grant I received from AISES, I was able to spend the summer both aiding in the development of the AllOurIdeas website, as well as analyzing the resultant datasets.

AllOurIdeas is a site based on Community Generated, Community Sorted Information (CGCSI). The website allows individuals or organizations to create their own web-space where their users can do pairwise voting on a series of questions. The site then uses a special ranking algorithm to combine the votes of all the users and rank the ideas. Our analysis of this data used Latent Semantic Indexing to help classify voters and examine their voting patterns.

The website can be found at AllOurIdeas.org
